Getting Started

Helpful things to consider before starting counseling

  • I provide therapeutic services for individual adults. If a meeting with multiple people is desired please ask in our initial consultation.

  • I am currently seeing clients in person in Louisville on Wednesdays and Fridays, and on video Tuesdays and Thursdays.

  • If video therapy is desired Wednesdays and Fridays may also be an option. Please ask in our initial consultation.

  • Before we start therapy together please schedule a free 20 minute consultation to ensure we are the right fit for one another

  • There is usually some initial relief gained just by starting the counseling process.

  • Research suggests that the strength of the therapist-client relationship, and a client's personal determination and strengths, are the most important indicators dictating whether an individual accomplishes their goals in therapy.

  • Consider that therapy takes work; but through therapy you can attain the life you want for yourself.

  • Clicking the link below will take you to my client portal where you can pick a time to meet with me that works for you. The client portal also allows you to message me, receive and electronically sign paperwork, set up payment, and schedule future sessions.

Rates

My fees are $150 for a 50 minute session.

Payment

I take payments by card or check. I am a Medicare provider, so can bill most medicare plans. If you have another insurance you would like to use, I can provide you with an invoice for each session if you would like to submit an out-of-network insurance claim. Please contact your insurance provider to discuss your out-of-network options.

Cancellation Policy

Please contact me 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel a scheduled session.  If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, and have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay 50% of the full rate of the session.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the Federal No Surprises Act (H.R. 133 – effective January 1, 2022), you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. A Good Faith Estimate is for your awareness only. It does NOT involve you needing to make any type of commitment to the length or frequency of therapy sessions. Please ask about this in our initial consultation if you would like a good faith estimate.
